Chisel Bottom Wall Clock.
Aptly known as a chisel bottom, this antique Connecticut wall clock strikes the hour and runs 8-days between windings. Probably made by Welch circa 1860’s, this clock was sold by Boston merchant, J. J. Beals of Hanover Street in Boston’s North End. Retains wonderful original label inside, advertising styles of clocks sold by this establishment in the 1860’s.
