Flat O.G., 30 hour
Wooden Works Movement.
Made in the early 1830’s, this flat O.G. style is different from the usual “S” shaped O.G. style for the front surface of the clock case. Nice original wood dial and hands. Label has protective overlay—easily removed without harm. Perhaps the original merchandiser has affixed his card on the back of the case. It informs the public of his importing & selling of “looking glasses” (mirrors), “clocks” & “girandoles” as well as “Britannia Ware”. “House keeping articles generally” though his establishment in Norwich, Connecticut. A nice example of the style clock.
