~Antique Clocks~

Black Iron Mantel Clock.

Black Iron Mantel Clock Made in Brooklyn, New York by the Ansonia Clock Co. of Ansonia, Connecticut circa 1890’s / this clock has a “sunken” dial showing the escapement action as original. This is somewhat like a skeletonized part of a machine to see how the internal parts work, in this case how the pendulum keeps moving / the dial is copper enameled and the clock strikes the hour and 1/2 hour / clock runs 8-days between windings.
